Miller Frosh Win In Double Overtime

The Millers avenged an earlier loss at the hands of the Warriors as they came through in the clutch and defeated Lebanon in double overtime. The game was neck-and-neck throughout the evening, with the Warriors leading most of the way. Lebanon held a one-point lead after the first quarter, two points at half, and six points after three quarters. But the Millers scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to Lebanon''s eight points to tie the game at 51-51 at the end of regulation. Millers Win Over Colts

The Colts came out very hard and played great basketball to start the game and built a quick 11 point lead. Springfield came back with a flurry to catch them at the end of the first quarter. Both teams played with heart and intensity throught out the second quarter and were tied at halftime.

The second half belonged to the Millers as they slowly built a nice 10 point lead. The Millers then held off a late Colt charge to win the game 56-50.

The Millers had a very balanced attack with Miles and Ryan scoring 13 points each, Greggory had 9, and Kelly and Jordan both had 8. The game was won on the boards...[More]

North Eugene Sweep Millers

The Highlanders are the best team in the league but the Millers went with a big lineup and started the game bigger and stronger than North Eugene. The Millers built and maintained a nice lead throughout the first half. North mounted a late 2nd quarter charge to close the margin to three points at the half.

The Highlanders took it to the Millers during the third quarter and Springfield was down by 14 points to start the last quarter. Some great substitutions and game management by Coach Hendrix and some hustle from our players allowed the Millers to make one late game charge that fell short.
